Privacy Policy
Ink Panda needs no account, shows no ads and uses no analytics or tracking tools. Your moods, notes and timer history stay on your phone. We cannot see them and we do not collect them.
Who makes Ink Panda
Ink Panda (竹间) is developed and maintained by Shengxing Yang, an independent developer. This policy explains what data the app uses, where it is kept and how to delete it.
What we do not collect
- No sign-up or sign-in. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
- No ads, and no advertising identifier.
- No third-party analytics, crash reporting or tracking SDKs.
- The app never uploads your records to us. Ink Panda has no servers of its own.
Data kept only on your device
The app stores the following locally, for the app and its widgets to read:
- moods, notes, seals and journal drafts;
- focus timer and night-listening history;
- scene, season, light, sound and text-size preferences, and widget settings;
- audio files you import with Pro (once purchases open).
This data may be included in the iCloud or computer backups you have turned on. Apple handles those backups and we have no access to them. Deleting Ink Panda deletes this data with it.
Location and weather
Ink Panda asks for location only if you turn on local weather, and then only uses your approximate location (about one kilometre) to get local weather from Apple's WeatherKit. We never store coordinates or use your location for anything else. Turn local weather off in the app, or revoke the permission in Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services, at any time. WeatherKit is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Photos
When you save a weekly album leaf, Ink Panda asks only for add-only access, to write the image you chose. It never reads, browses or uploads any existing photos.
Notifications, Live Activities and Siri
Timer reminders are local notifications on your device. Lock Screen Live Activities and the Dynamic Island are shown on your device only. When you start a session with Siri or Shortcuts, Apple processes your voice; Ink Panda only receives the action to perform.
Purchases (coming soon)
Once Ink Panda Pro is available, payment is handled by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details; the app only checks on your device whether a purchase is active.
Children
Ink Panda collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If the way Ink Panda handles data changes, we will update this page and the date above.
