Meowdar Privacy Policy
Meowdar is an iPhone app for iOS 18 or later that lets nearby phones become Old Friends and greet each other with meows. It is provided by Shengxing Yang.
The short version
- Meowdar collects no data. Its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected.”
- The app does not use the internet. There are no servers, accounts, analytics SDKs or advertising SDKs.
- Your data is stored on your iPhone. A limited cat profile is shared directly with nearby phones over Bluetooth and the local network, as described below. It never passes through a server, and the developer cannot access it.
Data stored on your iPhone
- Your profile: your chosen name, cat face and a randomly generated device number (your Old Friend ID).
- Your Old Friends list: each friend's Old Friend ID, name, cat face, system Bluetooth identifier, your notes, and the times of your last reunion and farewell.
- Your block list.
- Your recordings and tuner results.
- The 60 most recent event records, kept only on your device to help troubleshoot problems.
What nearby phones can see
Meowdar sends your name, Old Friend ID and cat-face code directly to nearby phones using Bluetooth and the local network (Multipeer Connectivity). These exchanges do not use the internet or any server. The developer does not receive this information.
While your Bump page is open, anyone nearby who also has Bump open can see your name and cat face. Outside Bump, the app exchanges profiles only with phones that are already your Old Friends.
Microphone and recordings
The app uses the microphone only when you tap to record. Recordings and tuner results are stored only on your iPhone; they are not uploaded to the developer or a server.
System features and permissions
- Bluetooth and Local Network let nearby phones find each other and exchange the limited profile described above.
- Nearby Interaction uses ultra-wideband (UWB) ranging to measure how close the phones are.
- Motion sensors help detect whether the phones have bumped. They are used only while the Bump page is open, and the calculation happens only on your device.
- Notifications and Live Activities provide the app's alerts and live status.
Purchases
Unlock Everything is a one-time in-app purchase. Apple handles the purchase. The developer does not receive your payment information.
Deleting your data
To remove someone, forget them in Old Friends. To clear all of Meowdar's data from your iPhone, delete the app.
Children and younger users
Meowdar does not collect data from anyone, including children. It has no special data collection directed at children.

老吴老吴（Meowdar）是一款让附近手机结为故人、用猫叫打招呼的 iPhone App，适用于 iOS 18 及以上，由 Shengxing Yang 提供。
简要说明
- 老吴老吴不收集数据，App Store 隐私标签填写的是「不收集数据」。
- App 不使用互联网，没有服务器、没有账号、没有统计或广告 SDK。
- 数据保存在你的 iPhone 上；少量猫猫资料会通过蓝牙和本地网络点对点发给附近手机，具体见下文。不经过任何服务器，开发者拿不到。
存在本机的数据
- 自己的资料：名字、猫头、随机生成的设备编号（故人号）。
- 故人列表：故人号、名字、猫头、系统蓝牙标识、备注，以及上次重逢和离别的时间。
- 屏蔽名单。
- 录音和调音结果。
- 最近 60 条事件记录：只保存在本机，用来排查问题。
附近手机能看到什么
App 通过蓝牙和本地网络（Multipeer Connectivity），把名字、故人号、猫头码点对点发给附近手机。这些交换不使用互联网，不经过任何服务器，开发者拿不到这些信息。
碰一碰页开着时，附近同样打开这一页的人都能看到你的名字和猫头。平时只和已经结为故人的手机交换资料。
麦克风与录音
只在你点录音时使用麦克风。录音和调音结果只存在本机，不会上传给开发者或服务器。
系统能力与权限
- 蓝牙和本地网络：让附近手机发现彼此，并交换上文列出的少量资料。
- 附近互动：通过超宽带（UWB）测量手机之间的距离。
- 运动传感器：判断两台手机有没有碰上，只在碰一碰页使用，只在本机计算。
- 通知和实时活动：用于 App 的提醒和实时状态展示。
App 内购买
「解锁全部」是一次买断的 App 内购买项目，由 Apple 处理。开发者拿不到你的付款信息。
删除数据
在「故人」里忘掉某位故人，可以移除对方。删除 App 会清掉这台 iPhone 上的全部 App 数据。
未成年人
App 不收集任何人的数据，包括未成年人，也没有面向儿童的特殊收集。
