Be the sea. Wash castles away.

Hold. Aim. Let go.

Every castle on the beach was always going to return to the sea. Tidewash is a quiet game about helping it get there.

  1. Gather a wave

Hold anywhere on the beach to charge. Move your finger up or down to aim, then let go to send the wave.

  2. Let go on the glow

Let go the moment the ring glows for a Perfect Wave. Keep a steady rhythm to build a Wave Set, and your waves grow stronger.

  3. Grow the sea

Collect the shells your waves turn up and spend them on upgrades. Raise your waves, gather faster, and bring in the tide.

Five beaches, afternoon into night.

Town Beach, Tidepool Cove, Moonlight Beach, Storm Point and The Cliffs, from afternoon into night.

Glowtide on a new-moon night, in the game: a dark sandcastle, and the sand glowing where the waves touch.

Past the five beaches

Glowtide

New Moon

The sand glows where the waves touch.

Calm Sea, seen from above: hello written in the wet sand, and a small wave coming in to smooth it away.
Calm Sea, in the game

Or just write in the sand.

Calm Sea: no numbers, a scenery of your choice, and sand to write in while small waves smooth it away.

Every grain moves.

The sand is simulated grain by grain: wet sand darkens and slumps, towers lean, tremble and fall, and the backwash carries it all out to deep water.

Bare Hands: one start for all.

No upgrades, no shop, the same start for everyone: just your waves and the clock.

Opens once the five beaches are done, with Game Center leaderboards and achievements.

Bare Hands at Glowtide, in the game: the timer at the top, no upgrade tray, only the waves.

Also on the shore.

A message in a bottle, in the game: No. 1, “We built it tall by noon. By evening it was beach again.”
